The Beginners Course description:
Students will learn from Charlie McMahon, who played Didgeridoo with Midnight Oil in Australia and in the USA and was the ?frontman? for the band, Gondwana which launched the first album of contemporary didge music. Charlie has also performed in solo concerts all around the world. By the end of the course, students will have an understanding of the history and cultural associations of the didge; an understanding of the scope of the didge as an instrument; an understanding of the concept, benefits and practice of circular breathing; ;learned to play basic rhythms.
