Tjupurru

Brisbane-based international performer Tjupurru is a proud descendant of the Djabera Djabera people of the West Australian Kimberley.

Born in Port Moresby and raised in North Queensland, he first encountered the music of Gondwanaland before training as a sound engineer in Sydney. Playing the Didjeribone and Face Bass brought that journey full circle.

Tjupurru has performed at festivals across Australia and internationally, bringing a distinctive contemporary sound to stages, schools and communities.
